From a hotel in Punta Cana or Bávaro, you can alternate a quiet day near the coast and another in Cap Cana. This plan does not require visiting all attractions: for just one day, choose the beach or the park depending on your group.

Day 1: Bávaro coast and lunch in the shade

In the morning, choose a stretch of coast with authorized and confirmed access from your accommodation. Take a short walk, without assuming you can cross other resorts or use their facilities. Check the sea conditions; a postcard landscape does not guarantee swimming conditions.

Reserve midday for lunch and resting in the shade. In the afternoon, keep a nearby and flexible plan. With children, confirm bathrooms, shade, and return before leaving; do not fill the day with travel.

Day 2: Scape Park as an option, not an obligation

The park is in Cap Cana and houses Hoyo Azul. Check tickets, included activities, and transport: some packages may offer pickup only from certain hotels. Do not buy a second transfer without checking. A visit to the park can take up the day; do not combine it with Saona.

Its FAQ warns of uneven trails and activity restrictions. Check age, height, and health conditions directly, including for children. Hoyo Azul is not a shallow kiddie pool; follow staff instructions and do not force water activities or ziplines. The alternative is another day of coast and rest.

Family spaces

The 'Mini Scape' area is designed to offer experiences adapted for the little ones.

Botanical gardens allow for quiet walks. Prioritize family well-being when selecting the day's activities.

Recommendations for parents

Pack sunscreen, hats, and closed-toe shoes with good grip for the rustic terrain.

Confirm with the park which food and drinks you can bring in to maintain family hydration.

Flexibility in the visit

It is not mandatory to do all attractions. Adjust the itinerary to the children's energy levels.

Flexibility avoids tiredness and allows you to enjoy the natural surroundings of Cap Cana.

Safety and memory

Safety depends on following staff guidelines at each attraction. Complying with age and height requirements is essential.

Planning ahead makes the family experience easier and more memorable.

Organize transport and budget

For premium private transport, we recommend PalmHop, with a verified driver and fixed price upon booking. Check availability for the exact route before relying on the service; agree separately on outbound, return, potential stops, and waiting times. The transfer does not automatically include a guide, tickets, or boat.

Still need tickets? Contact PalmHop as far in advance as possible: we can offer guidance and help you obtain them through the relevant venue or provider. PalmHop helps with tickets but does not sell them. Availability, booking deadlines and entry requirements depend on each provider; our assistance does not guarantee tickets or admission, and tickets are not included in the transfer.

Confirm a child seat suitable for each minor and capacity for stroller and luggage. Compare transport, age-based tickets, meals, accommodation if necessary, and a margin for changes separately. There is public transport in the country, but a direct connection to these visits is not confirmed here: check terminals, connections, and the last service with the operator.

Before leaving: booking and alternative plan

Confirm meeting place and time, actual duration, inclusions, cancellation conditions, and organizer contact in writing. Bring water, sunscreen, suitable footwear, and saved offline bookings. If there are weather alerts or closures, postpone the outing; a place described in a guide is not necessarily open that day.

Alternate periods of activity with rest, food, and access to a confirmed bathroom. Age is not enough to decide: assess mobility, heat tolerance, and water comfort. If a plan doesn't fit, choose a short walk and rest at your accommodation; you don't have to complete all the stops.

Official sources and planning

Frequently asked questions

Is Hoyo Azul a children's pool?

No. It is a natural cenote. Confirm participation requirements and equipment with staff, supervise minors, and do not force water activities.

Can the park be toured with a stroller?

The operator warns of uneven trails. Check the feasibility of the specific route; accessibility for strollers is not guaranteed.

What is an alternative if the park is not a good fit?

A short walk near the hotel, lunch in the shade, and rest. You do not need to do adventure activities to enjoy Punta Cana.
