If you arrived looking for «PUJ to Hilton La Romana», check the current name that appears on your reservation before booking the transfer. Hyatt currently presents Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa and Secrets La Romana Resort & Spa in Playa Bayahíbe. Do not rely solely on a name saved in a search engine: ask the accommodation for the exact address and reception.
La Romana in the name, Bayahíbe in the address
Official Hyatt listings place these resorts in Playa Bayahíbe. Indicating the center of La Romana city is not the same as this coastal destination. That difference matters when calculating the journey, price, and the final pickup point.
Dreams admits guests of all ages, according to its FAQs; Secrets is presented as adults-only. If your documentation uses «Hilton La Romana», confirm with the accommodation which property and entrance it corresponds to before selecting a destination. Do not infer the reception only from «family» or «adults» in an old search.
From Punta Cana airport to the resort with PalmHop
For a premium private transfer, we recommend PalmHop: verified driver, vehicle for your group, and fixed price upon booking. Having your arrival organized is especially practical with children, luggage, or a long flight; the goal is for you to reach the hotel without having to resolve transfers.
Dreams publishes about 45 minutes by car from PUJ as a reference. It is an estimate from the hotel, not a commitment from PalmHop nor the total time since landing. Add security checks, baggage pickup, and potential incidents. Check your confirmation: safety and peace of mind rely on a defined service, not on promises that there will never be unforeseen events.
Public transport: it exists, but we do not promise a direct link
The Dominican Republic has intercity buses and guaguas. However, we have not been able to verify with an operator a direct public service from PUJ to these receptions nor a complete schedule of connections to Bayahíbe. It would not be responsible to publish a combination as guaranteed.
If the budget is the priority and you have flexibility, check with the operator about departure and arrival points, if you must change vehicles, and how to complete the access to the hotel. Also confirm luggage policies and the last service time before leaving the airport. A shared tourist shuttle is not a public bus: compare wait times, stops, and the final price. The Dreams FAQ indicates that airport transfers are not part of their all-inclusive plan.
What makes Bayahíbe interesting
Tourism presents Bayahíbe as a coastal destination and links the region with Saona, Catalina, and Cotubanamá National Park. If you feel like leaving the resort, combine a walk through the town with an excursion chosen for its actual route, group size, and navigation conditions, not just by the photographs.
An excursion to Saona requires maritime transport: land transfer does not include boat, tickets, or guide. Confirm departure port, pickup, and return with the organizer. You can also dedicate an afternoon to the town and the coast, without turning every vacation day into a packed schedule.
Information to send when booking
Provide the exact name of the accommodation, address, flight, date, passengers, and luggage. If you need a child seat or mobility support, confirm the vehicle conditions beforehand. Keep the reservation and meeting instructions.
For the return, do not use the flight time or a road duration without margin as your pickup time. Coordinate the route from the correct reception and the advance notice requested by the airline with the carrier.
